Troop 545
The radio-controlled model airplane event has been postponed due to expected inclement weather on Saturday. A new date will be announced later.
The final payment for Troop 545 Summer Camp is now due. Please see Scott Shipferling at the regularly scheduled troop meeting on Monday, May 1 to submit your payment. The preferred method of payment is your personal check. Thank you for your prompt payment as the camp requires payment in full to secure our campsite and allow merit badge class placement. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Scott Shipferling.
Weather permitting the radio controlled model airplane event will be held for Troop 545 this Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm. A complimentary lunch will be served. Please note that this event will be rescheduled if rain and storms are in the area.
Now is the time to select merit badges for summer camp. Scouts started this process at the last meeting. If selections have been made and turned in, you are ready for the registration process! If not, completed forms must be turned in at the next meeting, April 24th. Please make sure you have a form turned in because the Troop needs to submit requests to Camp Alexander on May 1st. If you cannot attend the next meeting, make sure you have contacted Mr. Acker.
Dave Ek, past T-545 adult member has invited the troop to an open house at the model airplane club he is a member of. The date is April 29 from 10am till 1pm. There will be hands on as well as demonstrations and the best of all, HOTDOGS and hamburgers and brats and Drinks. Please consider this in your planning session. The address is 6903 Randol Mill Rd. The Field is on the North Side..
Directions: Go West on I-30 and then North on 820. Stay in the rightmost lane and exit Randol Mill Rd. Go ½ mile the flying field is on the left (North Side) of the road.
